What is Acetylene?
Acetylene (ethyne) is the chemical compound with the formula C2H2. Acetylene (C2H2) is a colorless, highly flammable gas with a garlic-like odor. It is a hydrocarbon and the simplest alkyne. Acetylene is widely used as a fuel and a chemical building block. It is unstable in its pure form and thus is usually handled as a solution.
Uses for Acetylene
We offer compressed acetylene in various grades specific to different applications such as:
- A fuel gas (mixed with oxygen) for welding, cutting, brazing and soldering
